We are a small family farm in its third generation in Biddenden consisting of around 200 acres of grassland with 80 suckler cows.
There are currently 7 breeding sows and 1 breeding boar.

We want to fill our shop with as many locally sourced products as we can from Kent. There are so many great farmers, businesses and people in kent that produce fantastic items which we want to offer to the public.
Support Local
As well as supporting the local agriculture we also want to support the village and everyone within it. Look out for events and future information.
To Grow
We would love to keep growing our business to not only offer more to customers but also the local residents who may benefit from more jobs or more tourists.
The Environment
We believe that we are just guardians of the countryside looking after it for future generations to come. We recycle our rain water into our filtration system for the cows to drink again. Using green manure and reducing our use of inorganic fertiliser. With plans for future green technology.
A Family Run Farm in Biddenden since 1947
In 1947 Thomas and Betty Richards moved to Biddenden to begin farming in the area as a dairy farm. They began farming at Wealden where they raised their family. In 1957 Thomas and Betty purchased the land that is now Pullen Barn Farm where they built a rotary parlour and carried on milking. They took their son Hugh into partnership and remained dairy farming until 1995 when they decided after looking at the future of milk and prices that it was not the path for them. Hugh decided to set up in beef cattle and so began his heard at Pullen Barn Farm. It has grown from 20 cows which he bought from a market, into 80 breeding Sussex cows which is the predominant breed here on the farm.
The pig herd has grown within a short space of time attempting to keep up with the needs of the shop. The herd has grown now to 8 breeding sows with 1 boar.
